The Albert Sölvi Trio was formed for the Reykjavík Jazz Festival to perform at Jörgensen. At the time, the group performed a mixture of original compositions and jazz standards.
In the summer of 2025, the trio entered the studio and recorded seven original compositions by Albert and Sigmar. At the time of writing, the album has not yet been released, but it is scheduled for release in early 2026.
These compositions will form part of the concert program, alongside newer works currently in development. The trio’s musical style ranges from funk to New Orleans-inspired jazz.
