Students from the vocal department of MÍT (The Music College) and the MÍT Big Band present a selection of songs from the careers of siblings Elly Vilhjálmsdóttir and Vilhjálmur Vilhjálmsson.

The students of the rhythmic vocal department at MÍT, together with the MÍT Big Band, pay tribute to the beloved Icelandic singing siblings Elly Vilhjálms and Vilhjálmur Vilhjálmsson as part of the Reykjavík Jazz Festival. The concert takes place at Iðnó on Sunday, August 30 at 18:00, and admission is free.

The MÍT Big Band is led by musical director and conductor Samúel Jón Samúelsson, while vocal coaching is provided by Guðlaug Dröfn Ólafsdóttir.

The programme features a selection of songs spanning the remarkable careers of Elly and Vilhjálmur Vilhjálmsson, two of Iceland’s most cherished vocal artists.
