Oddrún Lilja Jónsdóttir is a composer and guitarist from Oslo and Reykjavík who has drawn attention for her personal and adventurous sonic world. She has performed extensively around the world and collaborated with musicians from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
Her first albums, Marble and Mirage, received outstanding reviews, with Mirage earning a nomination for the Norwegian music awards Spellemannprisen. In 2023, she composed a special anniversary work for Vossa Jazz, and in 2024 she premiered an audiovisual work about censorship at the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet.
Oddrún’s music draws inspiration from both Icelandic and Norwegian cultural heritage, folk traditions, and contemporary jazz. The result is playful, lyrical music that seems to exist beyond time and space.
