Allar götur síðan á Norrænum Jazzdögum í Reykjavík árið 1990 hefur verið haldin árleg jazzhátíð í Reykjavík. Hún hefur spunnið sig í gegnum almanakið og verið bæði um vor og vetur. Nú er hún á sumrin, og vonandi stendur ágústmánuður í Reykjavík undir þeim stimpli þetta árið.
The Reykjavik Jazz Festival started out as the Nordic Jazz Days of 1990. Since then the Reykjavik Jazz Festival has popped up on the almanac both in spring and winter but this year we hope that August will prove a worthy host for a summer festival.

…is what makes the end of a festival seem like a sad place to be although all the different events have been quite remarkable. Many thanks to our artists and audiences, not to mention our sponsors who help so generously.
